Moro sets Junior Record
The TBDGA is pleased to announce Jack Moro (Whitewater GC) as the champion of the 2022 Fountain Tire District Junior Championship. This is Jack's third consecutive win at the District Junior and fourth win overall, making him the first four-time champion in history. Jack broke the record of three wins held by Robert Cumming and Bill Shewchuk. Congratulations, Jack!
This year's District Junior was played at Chapples GC and Whitewater GC, respectively. The weather was hot, humid, and windy. Jack shot scores of 71-78 to win by six strokes over Nathan Lepore (Whitewater GC), who was also last year's runner-up. Nathan has qualified for the 2023 Ontario Junior (U19) Boys' Championship by virtue of Jack's graduation from junior golf. Jonah Lahtinen (Centennial Pines GC) finished in third place after shooting the low round of the day at Whitewater GC.
